Welcome
River House, Inc. is a nonprofit agency that serves victims and survivors of homelessness, domestic abuse and sexual violence in four northern Michigan counties: Crawford, Ogemaw, Oscoda, and Roscommon counties. The main facility is located in Grayling, Michigan and there is an outreach office in West Branch, Michigan. Advocates travel to locations throughout the four counties to meet with survivors.

Our MissionThe mission of River House, Inc. is to provide safety and services to survivors of domestic and sexual abuse and the homeless population while promoting empowerment through education and advocacy. River House, Inc. has been serving local communities since 1986, by providing crisis counseling, emergency shelter, group counseling and support, as well as legal advocacy and community education. Our website is designed to serve victims and survivors, volunteers willing to help victims and those looking for information about domestic and sexual abuse services in the region served. |

Teachers vs Sheriffs
Join us on January 28, 4-6 pm at the Mio High School for a basketball tournament. Entry fee by donation of money or paper products (toilet paper, diapers, paper towels etc). Concessions by Mio Athletic Boosters.
River House Ski-A-Thon
Come and support River House for a Ski-A-Thon on Feb 25th. Two great Cross Country Ski locations; The Cross Country Ski Headquarters in Roscommon and Northbound Outfitters in Grayling. Download your pledge sheet here and meet us on the trails!

River House Happenings...Festival of TreesRiver House staff and clients and their children made ornaments that decorated this tree at the Festival of Trees in Grayling this year.Art De Vin: The Art de Vin hosted by Forest Dunes Golf Club and Enchante Gallery was held on August 13, 2011 at Forest Dunes Golf Club and thanks to all that helped raise money for River House to support the services provided to survivors of domestic and sexual violence and the homeless. |
