PART-TIME YOUTH ADVOCATE - The Youth Advocate will be responsible for organizing and implementing special activities for children and their non-offending parent(s) residentially and non-residentially which promotes good mental and physical health to youth victims of domestic and sexual violence, dating violence, and stalking in the River House four-county service area (Crawford, Ogemaw, Oscoda, and Roscommon).
Attend and facilitate group meetings and presentations in the community with community coordinating councils.
Associates in Child Development or equivalent work experience preferred. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and planning skills. Ability to relate to individuals in crisis. Must be able to understand and easily relate to people and show empathy to victims of domestic violence, sexual violence, dating violence, and stalking. Proficiency in computers, phones, technology, and database programs. Use of personal vehicle/reliable transportation is required along with current Michigan driver's license and valid car insurance.
The position is part-time, up to 29hrs/wk.
$13.75/hr, pay is negotiable dependent upon experience.

Full-Time Administrative Coordinator - Associates or bachelor's degree in business, or human resources preferred. Experience in Microsoft 365 and Teams a must. Excellent communication, organizational, and planning skills. Must be able to understand and relate easily to individuals in crisis and show empathy for victims of domestic violence, sexual abuse, and stalking. Must maintain a professional, courteous, and helpful demeanor continuously when working at or while representing River House, Inc. Must have the ability to work effectively with community members and within a team environment.
Office Duties
Assist with answering the telephone and directs calls to appropriate staff. Maintain Data bases for tracking (grant and HR needs). Assist with mail distribution. Office equipment troubleshoot and repair. Provides direction for office volunteers and coordinates training of new staff. Maintains sign-in sheets for River House activities, the Grant Activity Reports Form, Staff Meeting Minutes, and collects and files completed Client Surveys. Responsible for monthly updates on staff and volunteer driver's license and insurance information. Maintain in-kind donations in spreadsheet and disperse. Manage office general email. Maintains Admin team meeting, agendas, facilitates meetings, minutes for admin and staff meetings. Book conferences/lodging. Works effectively as part of the administration team under the supervision of the Executive Director.
Human Resources
Job posting, interview/hiring paperwork, tracks and prepares performance reviews. Works with Executive Director participating in recruitment and dismissal process. Liaison between managers, customers, and employees. Provides training for staff and ensures that new staff training is completed in accordance with training policy. Keep and maintain all employee files per required standards. Assure practices are fair and consistent and follow policy.
The position is full-time, up to 40hrs/wk.
Starting pay is $13.75/hr
