Become a River House Volunteer
Volunteers are at the heart of River House, Inc. - and your time and talents can directly support survivors in our community. Whether you can give a few hours a week or help with special events, there's a place for you here. Volunteers assist with client transportation, answering phones, providing a supportive presence, childcare, donation inventory, light housekeeping, fundraising efforts, and community awareness events.
We also welcome volunteers at Chasing Dreams - River House Resale, where you can help with donation sorting, cleaning and repairs, customer service, store organization, and outdoor maintenance. Every role - big or small - helps create safety, stability, and hope for survivors.
Before getting started, volunteers complete a background check and training program covering intimate partner violence, sexual abuse, and the mission and services of River House, Inc. Ongoing educational opportunities are also offered.
