Volunteers are at the heart of River House, Inc. - and your time and talents can directly support survivors in our community. Whether you can give a few hours a week or help with special events, there's a place for you here. Volunteers assist with client transportation, answering phones, providing supportive presence, clerical talks, childcare, donation inventory, light housekeeping, fundraising efforts, and community awareness events.
We also welcome volunteers at Chasing Dreams - River House Resale, where you can help with donation sorting, cleaning and repairs, customer service, store organization, and outdoor maintenance. Every role - big or small - helps create safety, stability, and hope for survivors.
Before getting started, volunteers complete a background check and training program covering intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and the mission and services of River House, Inc. Ongoing education opportunities are also available.
