Volunteers are an important component of River House, Inc. You can help by transporting clients, answering phones, providing personal support to clients, helping with clerical work, caring for children, keeping inventory of donations, and assisting with general housekeeping. We also have opportunities for assistance with Fundraising and Community Awareness events.

Volunteers are also needed at Chasing Dreams - River House Resale. We would love your assistance with donation sorting/cleaning/repair, store maintenance & cleaning, lawn & parking lot maintenance, or customer service. If you have any questions about volunteering at our store, please do not hesitate to stop by and speak with the store manager during regular store hours.

Prior to becoming a volunteer, individuals must pass a background check and participate in a training program that includes education about intimate partner violence, sexual assault and the mission, values and services of River House, Inc. In addition to this general orientation, volunteers may also receive continuing education.
